Join NYC Retrofit Accelerator for their Building Operations and Maintenance Trainings.

Whether you are a New York City building manager, superintendent, or building operator, the NYC Retrofit Accelerator's hands-on trainings are available to help you make informed decisions about how to operate your building efficiently, reduce costs, and increase tenant comfort.

You will also be provided with information on resources that can help finance the projects covered in the trainings. Information on programs from utilities, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and other entities will be available to participants.

The session on November 1 & 2 is on heating and air sealing - how to test, repair, install, and troubleshoot a variety of heating-related equipment.

Topics include:

  • Mechanical and stack effects
  • Steam traps and vents
  • Thermostatic radiator valves
  • Boiler cleaning and tune
  • Master venting
  • Diagnostic tools (infrared camera, combustion analyzer, temperature dots)
  • Air sealing windows, doors, cable holes
  • Pipe insulation
Please note: Registrants must be property managers, superintendents or building maintainers ONLY. Due to limited class size, only 2 staff per building may register for each course.

This training is organized by NYC Retrofit Accelerator. For more information including registration, visit their event page here
