Location

About the Event

Instructor: Moreno Tagliapietra, Instructor, Local 32BJ & CUNY

The world of lighting design is changing rapidly. Alongside continual technological advancements, the codes and laws that govern the design and construction of lighting systems are being progressively improved. New laws, stricter codes, and new Department of Buildings filing requirements now effect most New York City spaces.

Green Light New York has developed a concise and vital three-part series of presentations on how to meet and exceed these new lighting requirements. Offered in 90 minute segments, the presentations cover 1) the laws and regulations themselves, 2) strategies for applying the new requirements to lighting retrofit projects, and 3) demystifying lighting controls.

New Lighting Regulations is offered the morning of January 24th. Lighting Retrofits and Lighting Controls are offered the morning of January 25th.

The instructor of Lighting Controls will cover the following:
- Introduction to Lighting Controls & Code Compliance

- Types & applications of lighting control systems
- Costs & savings

- Sources of funding, rebates & incentives

This course is made possible with funding from NYSERDA. Green Light New York would like to thank Lutron for hosting this event.

--
Each course provides 1.5 AIA HSW/SD learning units. Coffee and light refreshments will be served.
