New York City is a city of buildings. With nearly 50,000 buildings in Manhattan alone, New York has the potential to lead global energy efficiency innovation and evolution required to sustain our built environment. The NYEW Smart Cities & Energy Efficiency panel will discuss the technologies and innovations New York is adopting, or could adopt, in order to make the city more resilient and to meet environmental objectives. Panelists will also examine the financing and policies required to support these objectives, and some of the most innovative neighborhood and building models being proposed to do so.
