NYSERDA's Cleaner Greener Communities (CGC) program provides grant funding to local governments, the private sector, and not-for-profit organizations in order to foster public-private partnerships that will further sustainable growth strategies. The targeted strategies include emissions control, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and low-carbon transportation.
Phase 1 of CGC provides all ten regions of New York State (as defined by the Regional Economic Development Council, REDC) with grant funding to develop their own unique sustainability plans. During phase 2 of CGC, NYSERDA will award $90 million to support the implementation of large-scale projects supporting the sustainable development plans established in Phase 1. To see projects that are being funded by the CGC program, please visit the Resources section of our site.
Funding for phase 2 will be awarded through the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) process.
