Join IESNYC for 2017 IESNYC Thesis Prize Presentations.

Join us as the recipients of the 2017 IESNYC Thesis Prizes — Valerie Chengyi Qin, from the Parsons School of Design, and Valeria Terentyeva, from the Lighting Research Center—present their thesis projects.

Valerie Chengyi Qin thesis focuses on lighting that is common in the preoperative holding area in healthcare environments where patients often experience anxiety before surgery.

Valeria Terentyeva will present her thesis, “Analyzing theoretical models for predicting thermal conductivity of composite materials for LED heat sink applications.”

The IESNYC Thesis Prizes are awarded to two students, one from Parsons School of Design and one from the Lighting Research Center, who demonstrate excellence in design and/or research, and represent the intellectual insight, rigor and quality standards as set forth by their respective school departments and each student’s thesis committee.
