Gallery Talk: Expandable Lighting Solutions

Join the Building Energy Exchange for our new Gallery Talk series, which marries technical presentations from industry experts with the interactive content of our Lighting the Future advanced lighting exhibit. These lunch-and-learn sessions will guide attendees on configuring, selecting and installing the most advanced lighting, shading, and control systems available, and how those systems can maximized convenience, savings, and flexibility.

A well-designed lighting system can be installed or upgraded in stages. This offers clients working with limited budgets or a wish to limit disruptions in working offices the opportunity to streamline the selection process, as well as updating and adding hardware and software components as necessary. This talk will discuss the many solutions available to projects of any scale.

This is the third session in our four-part Gallery Talk series which will utilize our Lighting the Future interactive exhibit as a classroom. The sessions will also draw lessons and data from our Living Lab Demonstration Project, a joint program with Lawrence Berkeley National Lab which deploys and monitors advanced lighting and shading systems in working offices to document the components and processes that lead to successful lighting and shading retrofits.

NOTE: You must register by May 10 at 5pm.

ABOUT THE SERIES
Lighting the Future‘s gallery talk series features four lunch-and-learn programs that focus on the integrated controls, shading, and fixture technologies in each section of the Living Lab Demonstration Project. The Living Lab Demonstration Project has carefully documented the selection, procurement, and installation process to identify challenges and solutions to scaling up retrofit projects. The Lighting the Future explains how advanced technologies can save energy and money and showcases the systems installed in the Living Lab Demonstration Project.
