Turning Data into Action

Join Building Energy Exchange, NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability, and Natural Resources Defense Council for their BuildingEnergy NYC presentation: Turning Data into Action.

Building owners and decision-makers of New York City’s largest buildings now have a wealth of data to understand their energy consumption and prioritize investments in new equipment and maintenance. While many building owners are undertaking efficiency measures as a result of this information, they are still facing a range of obstacles to pursue building upgrades, such as limited capital, difficulties navigating financing and incentive programs, and the complexities of undertaking energy efficiency upgrades.

This panel will outline how benchmarking and audit data collected by the City is being used to develop programs and tools to help building owners and decision-makers overcome these barriers and accelerate investments in energy efficiency.

SPEAKERS:
Laurie Kerr, Director of Policy, Urban Green Council
Jenna Tatum, Senior Policy Advisor, NYC Mayor’s Office of Sustainability
Richard Yancey, Executive Director, Building Energy Exchange
