Join New York Passive House and North American Passive House Network for Certified Passive House Tradesperson (CPHT) trainings.
This five-day course provides the knowledge and practical skills building contractors need to build to the worlds most efficient energy standard. This course focuses on building enclosure optimization, and provides a foundation in passive house principles, while stressing the importance of construction fundamentals and proper sequencing.
Participants will learn building techniques that minimize thermal bridging, maximize airtightness, while using a variety of materials. An introduction to common passive house mechanical systems will be provided, including heat and energy recovery ventilators, heat pumps, and solar thermal systems. Three of the five course days will take place in a classroom, while two hands-on days are held in AEA's North American Passive House Tradesperson Training Facility.
NOTE: The CPHT Exam Will Take Place On Friday, November 17th.
This training is organized by NYPH & NAPHN. For more information including registration, visit their event page here.
