About the Event

Join NYPH for a one day training on Multifamily Building Ventilation.

Medium sized multi-family Passive House projects are quickly becoming a dominant archetype in North America. As with any Passive House, a key component to a successful project is a well planned and executed heat recovery ventilation system. However, unlike single family homes, ventilation presents significant challenges in the design, construction, and operation of multi-family buildings. This full day workshop will explore challenges unique to this building type. Topics include requirements, system options, performance assessment, controls, commissioning, mixed-use protocols, and building certification options. Case studies will illustrate will demonstrate how multi-family Passive House projects are being realized on the continent. A group design exercise will round out the day.

Andrew is a seasoned Passive House trainer, consultant, and building certifier accredited by the German Passive House Institute (PHI).
