Report draws on City data to identify energy savings opportunities in multifamily buildings

June 18, 2015

Retrofitting Affordability, analyzes benchmarking data and the recommendations of energy auditors and finds that an 11% reduction in the carbon emissions of large multifamily buildings is available today, with more than half of the measures estimated to payback in less than five years.  The report also maps those communities with the highest percentages of affordable housing and the greatest potential for energy savings.

Join the Building Energy Exchange for a public presentation of Retrofitting Affordability.  Copies of the report will be available.  Attendees will include William Goldstein and Nilda Mesa from the New York City Mayor’s Office, Angela Sung Pinsky from the Real Estate Board of New York, Bomee Jung from Enterprise Community Partners and many other building industry stakeholders.
