Lighting the Future
The Building Energy Exchange is proud to present Lighting the Future, an interactive exhibit on advanced lighting and shading systems at our downtown Manhattan resource center. The exhibit showcases the advanced function of ‘state of the shelf’ lighting and shading control systems, the essential components of a successful retrofit, and the energy and financial savings available for building owners and tenants.
Join us and other green building luminaries on the evening on December 8th to open Lighting the Future and launch the new BEEx Green Light training series.
OPENING REMARKS:
Nilda Mesa, Director, Mayor’s Office of Sustainability
Costa Constantinides, NYC Council Member
John Shipman, Department Manager of Distributed Resource Integration, Demand Management and Customer Engagement, Con Edison
Michael Colgrove, Director of Multifamily Programs, NYSERDA
Lighting the Future is the first in a series of resources BEEx is developing as the physical and virtual information hub of the NYC Retrofit Accelerator. The NYC Retrofit Accelerator is a key component of Mayor de Blasio’s commitment to reducing citywide greenhouse gas emissions 80% by 2050. To support this critical program, BEEx is developing exhibits, training, technology demonstrations, tools, and other resources to help building owners and tenants identify energy upgrades and navigate the building retrofit process.
Thank you to our exhibit sponsors.
Attendees must register beforehand for building security.
