Daylighting: The Measurable and Immeasurable
Daylight in buildingsĀ can be used as a powerful design element to create expressive architectural spaces. Beyond its qualitative aspects, daylight is also critical to promote occupant satisfaction and welfare while reducing building lighting energy usage. The program will outline various design strategies and new technologies for improving daylight performance in buildings. Methods and tools for designing for daylight will be presented, including various quantitative metrics for benchmarking daylight performance. The program will also present various innovative project applications of designing with daylight in practice.
