Join Building Energy Exchange and Mecho® for an evening of presentations, networking, and refreshments in celebration of Daylight Hour 2019 – a global social media campaign promoting the use of natural lighting to reduce energy, save money, and improve office spaces all over the world.

In the spirit of #DaylightHour, the conversation will center around design strategies aimed at fostering productivity, comfort, and health, while reducing the environmental impact of office buildings.

Real estate services company stok will present on The Financial Case for High-Performance Buildings, a report compiling and analyzing a growing body of evidence connecting the built environment to human performance, satisfaction, and wellness. Stok’s analysis assigns a financial value to often overlooked occupant-derived benefits arising from high performance buildings (HPBs). Their report suggests that HPB design objectives—increased natural light, improved air quality, and thermal comfort—provide significant benefits to employees, and by extension, their organization’s bottom line.

Joining stok’s Jacob Arlein will be Audi Banny, Associate Director for Private Sector Engagement, Institute for Market Transformation. At IMT, Ms. Banny develops programs, such as the Landlord-Tenant Energy Partnership, that help tenants, government agencies, and other key stakeholders advocate for more energy-efficient leased spaces.

A reception with light food and refreshments will follow the conversation.
