Monday June 22nd, 2020
12:00 pm to 1:00 pm
Building Energy Exchange presents Daylight Hour, a social media campaign aimed at reducing energy use, improving working environments, and saving money. The #DaylightHour pledge is simple: turn off non-essential lighting for one hour on the Monday nearest the summer solstice, June 22, 2020, and post about participation to social media.
Daylight Hour looks a little bit different this year than it has in the past. Due to COVID-19, our campaign time length is shortened and we have moved the campaign to our homes. We are equally as excited about the campaign and can’t wait to see your creativity in showcasing energy efficiency in your home spaces!
Participants are encouraged to utilize resources on the Daylight Hour website, including the energy savings calculator, marketing and engagement materials, Daylight Hour best practices, and case studies from past participants.
Daylight Hour will be on June 22, 2020, from noon until 1pm local time. Register here and post your participation to social media to be included in the official count.
