Full video for "Better Ventilation: Solutions for Multifamily Buildings" on December 8, 2020

Join the Building Energy Exchange (BE-Ex) on December 8th to celebrate the launch of our latest playbook: “Better Ventilation: Solutions for Multifamily Buildings” and a new case study.

BE-Ex will be joined by a panel of experts for a conversation on ventilation system upgrade and maintenance measures that can improve occupant health and comfort while also reducing energy use and carbon emissions. The panel will discuss how a 430-unit affordable co-op in Washington Heights cut energy expenses by more than $60,000 a year and reduced tenant complaints with a ventilation system overhaul and simple air sealing measures. The project team will share details of the technical solutions used and lessons learned from project implementation, including best practices for engaging residents and conducting in-unit work.

The discussion will also touch on the impacts of COVID-19 and explore additional ventilation measures that residential buildings can take to ensure a healthy indoor environment under pandemic conditions.
