Building Energy Exchange and NYSERDA are hosting a Beyond Zero Series event highlighting firms with embedded values of reducing carbon and designing affordable buildings.

A growing number of architecture firms are incorporating climate goals into their practice, committing to tracking and reducing carbon in design and construction as part of the AIA 2030 Challenge and in line with NYC’s emissions targets. In this Beyond Zero series program, expert panelists will outline affordable housing and other projects that embody these values and discuss their lessons learned and adaptations in everyday practice as they’ve adopted a comprehensive, equitable approach to carbon reduction.

The Beyond Zero series will celebrate low carbon projects across the State of New York that improve the health, affordability, and resiliency of communities. A multi-year effort across 2021-2022, the Beyond Zero educational series will highlight successes, strategies, incentives, and goals for accelerating building decarbonization and optimizing carbon neutral design and construction.
