Big Data, Small Data: Building Energy Data at Different Scales

Building energy use data is being collected at many scales, from whole cities to real estate organization portfolios to individual buildings. Join us for what promises to be a highly informative discussion of the platforms and services being utilized at these varying scales, the impact this knowledge has on public policy, and the effect it has on organizational decision making.

Two primary tools will frame this discussion: the Standard Energy Efficiency Data (SEED) Platform, designed by the US DOE to standardize building performance reporting and provide enterprise scale transparency of data, and the GRESB assessment tool, used for portfolio scale assessment and reporting of environmental, social and governance benchmarks.

MODERATOR:
Adam Hinge, Sustainable Energy Partnerships

SPEAKERS:
Harry Bergmann, U.S. Department of Energy
Ulrich Scharf, GRESB
Jayson Antonoff, Institute for Market Transformation
Joshua Kace, Code Green Solutions
