Climate Resiliency in NYC

ASHRAE NY and BE-Ex host a panel event on climate resiliency, diving into the dual challenges of efficient and GHG-free building design that responds to increasing flooding, precipitation, and heat in the near future.

Existing and new buildings are expected to remain within the building stock for the next 60+ years, yet climate risk threatens their built integrity. Increasingly, the building industry is leveraging forward-looking climate scenarios and integrated resilient design to build for today, and a climate-adverse tomorrow.

ASHRAE considers climate resiliency “an important societal, economical, and technical issue that has a major impact on the built environment as well as how engineered building systems are designed and operated, where built environments need to be developed which are both resilient and sustainable.”

Join ASHRAE NY and BE-Ex for an event dedicated to climate resiliency in NYC with a group of experts in development, technical consulting, and urban planning.
