Getting to Zero: Exploring High Performance Projects

The Building Energy Exchange and the General Consulate of Canada are pleased to present a private roundtable discussion of high performance projects.

This invitation-only event will feature the detailed presentation and discussion of multiple projects that have achieved LEED Platinum, Net Zero, and other aggressive targets with an emphasis on how the process for each can be replicated in the New York City market. The event is a unique opportunity to engage directly with professionals that have produced some of the most innovative projects in North America, discussing the key challenges of high performance projects and the lessons learned in surmounting them.

Mayor de Blasio’s climate action plan to reduce NYC carbon emissions 80% by 2015 has dominated policy discussions. With city and state stakeholders actively considering far more stringent energy codes and with private sector firms needing to differentiate themselves in the market, successful delivery of high performance buildings will be a defining feature of the next decade. The Getting to Zero roundtable provides an intimate, carefully curated forum to openly discuss the specific challenges of such targets in the NYC market, and how organizations that achieve them can differentiate themselves from their competitors.

In addition to the roundtable itself, attendees may also arrange for one-on-one meetings with the presenters immediately following the group discussion, in spaces made available for this purpose at BEEx.
