Established in 2006, the building performance lab of the CUNY Institute for Urban Systems (CUNY BPL) is an institutional platform for research and promotion of high-performance building practices. CUNY BPL is hiring qualified energy management professionals to serve as on-site consultants and fill critical staffing capacity needs at DCAS Division of Energy Management (DEM) and other partner agencies.

Deputy Chief of Staff, Operations (Job ID: VA-2203-004622)

The Deputy Chief of Staff will be responsible for serving as a key touchpoint within the unit for internal and external stakeholders, driving performance tracking and reporting efforts, and establishing and advancing critical priorities across the unit.

Program Manager, Strategic Planning (Job ID: VA-2204-004748)

The Program Manager, Strategic Planning will work in DEM’s Strategic Planning Unit (SP) which plays a critical role in structuring and advancing DEM’s overall work. Core duties include supporting DEM’s Agency Energy Personnel Program and contributing to program strategy development within the SP Unit.

The Senior Analyst, Business Systems will support the development of business systems, technology platforms, and data analysis processes that are required to effectively meet the City’s energy and emissions reductions mandates, including Local Law 97 of 2019.

The Analyst, BST will assist with the development of business systems technology platforms and data analysis processes required to meet the City’s energy emissions and reductions mandates including LL97 of 2019.

The Project Manager, Clean Energy will help reduce emissions and energy consumption across the City by advancing the critical initiative of expanding clean energy resources across the City’s portfolio.

The Energy Project Manager Agency Planning & Implementation will help reduce emissions and energy consumption across the City by providing our agency partners with technical assistance and project management support for energy audits and energy efficiency projects.

The Associate Project Managers (2) will work with agencies to support integration of capital planning efforts related to energy efficiency and clean energy projects, identify, and recommend energy conservation measures (ECMs), and support the Senior Project Manager in overseeing energy project implementation, including performing project scope and technical review, field verification, and project close-out.

The person will study the business requirements provided by teams and translate those into functional requirements that developers can code.
