Richard Yancey, Executive Director of Building Energy Exchange, shares his insight on Passive House, the low-energy high-performance building standard. Yancey speaks to how he was first introduced to the standard and about his experience in a fact-finding trip to Brussels in May 2015, where a passive standard for all new construction and substantial renovations was recently adopted as the energy code.
