Our City Street Lighting: LED in NYC

Join IESNYC for Our City Street Lighting: LED in NYC.

The recent conversion of New York City street lights to light emitting diode (LED) luminaries has raised concerns from residents who have been impacted by the change. The AMA in their report on Human and Environmental Effects of LEDs addresses the pros and cons.

This panel will include representatives from the Lighting Research Center at RPI (LRC), the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT), and the IES to address this issue, one of importance to both New Yorkers and the lighting industry.

SPEAKERS:
John Bullough, Lighting Research Center
AC Hickox, Domingo Gonzales Associates
Brian Liebel, IES
Joshua Benson, NYC Department of Transportation
