Retrofit Accelerator Training: Heating & Air Sealing

Join NYC Retrofit Accelerator for their Building Operations and Maintenance Trainings.

Whether you are a New York City building manager, superintendent, or building operator, the NYC Retrofit Accelerator’s hands-on trainings are available to help you make informed decisions about how to operate your building efficiently, reduce costs, and increase tenant comfort.

You will also be provided with information on resources that can help finance the projects covered in the trainings. Information on programs from utilities, the NYC Department of Environmental Protection, the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, and other entities will be available to participants.

The session on February 8 & 9 is on air sealing – how to identify air flow problems and properly air seal buildings, while maintaining proper air flow.

Topics include:

• Mechanical and stack effects
• Air sealing windows, doors, cable holes
• Pipe insulation
• Winder storage for window ACs and through-wall ACs
