WISE Fireside Chat: Sustainable Cities

Building Energy Exchange is proud to present our second year of WISE:Women in Sustainability and Energy, our program series that showcases women leaders who are accelerating the sustainability and energy efficiency of our buildings and cities.

Join us the evening of June 29 for a WISE fireside chat with Kelly Shultz of Bloomberg Philanthropies and Dale Bryk of Natural Resources Defense Council.

These urban sustainability leaders will discuss opportunities and challenges of pursuing climate goals from national and international perspectives. Bryk, Chief Planning and Integration Officer at
Natural Resources Defense Council and 2015 WISE speaker on our Clean Energy Innovation panel, will lead the dialogue with Shultz, of the Environment Team at Bloomberg Philanthropies.

Together they will explore how cities are adapting to the changing climate and mitigating further warming by adopting advanced technology and innovative policies. Shultz will discuss Bloomberg Philanthropies’ sustainable cities initiatives, including their collaborations with the Compact of Mayors, C40, and the City Energy Project.

Incorporating her industry expertise and audience questions, Bryk will guide the conversation around how cities transform their sustainability strategies by encouraging community engagement, education, and financing opportunities.
