April 21, 2020, 6:00-7:00pm: “How Women Built the Environmental Movement” Podcast
(Space is limited in order to preserve the conversation-style format.)

Join the WISE Community for our first “WISE Media Club” event of the spring. We’ll be discussing a podcast in which the hosts (Anna Reser, Leila McNeill, and Rebecca Ortenberg, with Guest Dr. Tina Sikka) talk about the long history of women advocating for nature and wildlife conservation, and how these early women paved the way for our current environmental justice movements. Dr. Tinna Sikka joins in to talk about feminist science as a remedy for anthropogenic climate change.
*Please come ready to discuss any questions or insights that may have arisen while listening!*

About the WISE Media Club
As more people are encouraged to self-isolate and stay at home due to the spread of COVID-19, it is important to find creative ways to reach out, interact, and stay connected. As such, we present the “WISE Media Club” – an opportunity to keep the WISE community together and spirit alive. This monthly Tuesday evening media club will cover podcasts, videos, and books written by women, and that span topics such as the built environment, the history of the environmental movement, and new challenges and opportunities presented by the COVID pandemic. We’re excited to launch this new platform and are looking forward to joining you.
