Engaging tenants to extend energy management into leased spaces is a critical component of meeting our shared climate action goals, and a primary strategy for owners hoping to reduce carbon emissions and avoid the financial penalties that may be imposed by Local Law 97. The question is not why tenants should manage energy use, but how.
The NYSERDA RTEM + Tenants program provides financial incentives for commercial real estate owners that wish to monitor tenant energy use and manage that consumption through novel strategies and initiatives. Through targeted incentives and a network of pre-qualified solution providers, New York’s building owners are encouraged to access technologies and expertise that enhance a building’s environmental health, support the wellness of its occupants, practice modern workspace management, all while promoting data integration with increasingly popular tenant engagement applications.
This webinar, presented by ASHRAE NYC and BE-Ex, will provide an overview of the NYSERDA program, including the tenant engagement requirements and available incentives to support technology deployment and consulting services. The webinar will feature a real life case study of the benefits of energy management, including a detailed look at tenant engagement initiatives to lower energy costs and comply with local laws.
