Tuesday October 30th, 2018
5:00 pm to 7:00 pm
Join New York Passive House, Building Energy Exchange and three architectural firms making waves in New York City with their large multifamily Passive House projects. While the Passive House standard itself is based on simple principles, translating the principles into successful projects requires work. The speakers will feature a diverse set of projects, from mid-rise to high-rise multifamily buildings, as well as projects that include community facilities, retail and other uses, as well as projects pursuing both PHI and PHIUS certifications. The presentations will focus on the major systems of these projects, including the building envelope, heating & cooling, and ventilation design, and explore the challenges specific to large-scale Passive House buildings. A Q&A will follow the panel presentation.
