WISE: A Conversation with Majora Carter

Join us on the evening of June 20th for the third event of the WISE 2017 series: “A Conversation with Majora Carter.”

This exciting event will feature a one-on-one dialogue with Majora Carter, a leading urban revitalization strategist, real estate developer, and creator of numerous green-infrastructure projects, policies, and job training programs.

Ana Baptista, of The New School, will guide the discussion, drawing on audience questions and her own experience working in community development, urban planning, and environmental policy. The conversation will explore Ms. Carter’s work revitalizing the South Bronx and other urban communities, the lessons she has learned throughout her career, and the actions we all can take to build a more sustainable and equitable future.

Following the program, the conversation will continue with drinks and networking.

Women in Sustainability and Energy (WISE) is a platform for women and men to learn from experienced leaders and to work toward advancing equity in the workplace.  WISE showcases inspirational women leaders who are accelerating the sustainability and energy efficiency of our buildings and cities.
