Event Details
Join WISE (Women in Sustainability and Energy) for our upcoming “Media Club” event. We will be discussing President Biden’s climate goals—areas ripe for progress as well as potential challenges his administration may face.

BE-Ex staff will kick off the conversation and help to facilitate an interactive discussion among attendees. We look forward to hearing from you–please come prepared to share thoughts on the following items:

  1. Transition 2021: How Will Biden Combat Climate Change?

This discussion explores the incoming Biden administration’s likely approach to climate change policy. It features Alice Hill, American policy-maker and author of “Building A Resilient Tomorrow,” along with Todd Stern, who has formerly served as the United States Special Envoy for Climate Change and was the country’s chief negotiator at the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.

  1. John Kerry: Restoring American Credibility On Climate Change ‘Not So Simple’

In this podcast, John Kerry, former Secretary of State and President-elect Biden’s special envoy for climate, tells NPR why restoring American credibility on climate issues will be a key challenge for the Biden administration.

About the WISE Media Club
The “WISE Media Club” was developed in March 2020 as a creative way to keep the WISE (Women in Sustainability & Energy) community spirit alive and to facilitate remote interaction during this time of social distancing. This recurring, monthly media club will cover female-developed podcasts, videos, and articles that touch on climate action, the built environment, and new challenges and opportunities created by the COVID pandemic. We’re excited to launch this new platform and look forward to seeing and hearing from the community.

The WISE Media Club is not a panel or presentation, rather an interactive forum. We hope all participants will come prepared with ideas & questions about the media item and will keep their cameras turned on, allowing for more fluid conversation between group members.
