9:30 am to 11:00 am

Don’t miss the latest in the Climate Mobilization Act Series! Join BE-Ex and NRDC for an in-depth conversation about how New York City is linking climate action with housing equity through the Affordable Housing Reinvestment Fund (AHRF), and how its offsets can be utilized as a compliance path.

This innovative initiative allows building owners to meet Local Law 97 requirements by funding clean energy upgrades in affordable housing—bringing high-performance building retrofits to communities that need them most. For those who are a little over or late to LL97 compliance, AHRF offsets are the only offsets that are eligible.

Ideal for building owners, energy consultants, and service providers, this moderated panel event will begin with brief presentations covering AHRF, its offsets, and the Resilient & Equitable Decarbonization Initiative (REDi) program, through which renovations at qualifying affordable housing buildings in NYC are funded by offset sales.

A panel of experts from NYC Department of Buildings (DOB), NYC Department of Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the Mayor’s Office of Climate and Environmental Justice (MOCEJ), and NYCEEC will then explore how the AHRF Program works, the collaboration between city agencies and partners that brought the program to life, and how it aligns climate policy with housing goals.

Following the panel discussion, there will be a live Q&A session where attendees can directly engage with industry experts. Enjoy coffee & small bites at the Exchange this December as you network with industry peers!
