Full video for "Real Estate Climate Risk: Disclosure & Response", on September 24, 2020

Join the Building Energy Exchange for this Climate Week event discussing the impact of climate change risk mitigation on the design, construction and real estate industries.

In 2017 the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), created by the Financial Stability Board, released recommendations to systematize and guide investors in their reporting of the risks related to climate change.  The TCFD framework covers four broad areas–Governance, Strategy, Risk Management, and Metrics & Targets–that will drive real estate investors to identify, communicate, and respond to direct climate risks to assets.  Shifting our horizons from short-term payback periods to long-term risk scenarios represents a fundamental shift in the structure of real estate investment and is likely to have profound impacts on our community across the coming decade.
